Description
Coolum Waters Care Centre is a 50 bed low care facility providing ageing-in-place, meaning that in most cases there would be no need to move to a nursing home. It is located on the campus of the Coolum Waters Retirement Resort, amongst beautiful garden surroundings. The care centre shares the campus currently with 64 independent living units designed to reflect the beach lifestyle for which Coolum is famous. The care centre has been designed with particular emphasis on the Queensland lifestyle with open areas and individual patios, reflecting our Sunshine Coast lifestyle. Rooms are single ensuited in groups of 10 per wing to optimise privacy and yet encourage social interaction.
Coolum Waters supports the special needs of those suffering the effects of dementia, by currently making 10 beds available for such Special Care, but with plans for future allocated places should the need arise.
Support Available
Coolum Waters has 24/7 coverage by our experienced carers, with support of a part time Registered / Enrolled Nurse. Meals are cooked on site – no “cook chill”.
