Please see our other nearby facilities – James Grimes Care Centre, Palmwoods Garden Village Care Centre and Coolum Waters Care Centre which provide additional security for care recipients with a cognitive impairment. Suites have been designed to cater for care recipients living with dementia, while specialist carers have designed activities to assist those with dementia, an emotional illness or a cognitive impairment.

Trained carers are on duty 24/7 with the support of registered and enrolled nurses to cater for care recipients needs as they arise.

All care recipients are free to use their own doctor or any other health professional that agrees to visit on a regular basis, is willing to provide us with the required documentation and pharmacy needs, and will make arrangements to provide you with cover in the event of an emergency. Care recipients are required to meet any costs their doctor may apply.

Each resident is allocated a single room, however, where practical, some couples have utilised one of the rooms as a bedroom and one as a lounge room.

The onsite Lifestyle team at Bowder Lodge Care Centre provides care recipients with a wide variety of stimulating and engaging activities and events including concerts, live music, quizzes, exercise classes, arts and craft lessons, regular church services and frequent outings.

Yes, we can cater for all dietary requirements. 

Onsite chefs and cooks prepare delicious, nutritious meals daily, using only the freshest produce. 

The seasonal menu at Bowder Lodge Care Centre is developed in consultation with dietitians and residents to cater for nutritional needs, preferences and dietary requirements.

Bowder Lodge Care Centre is only 150 metres to a bus stop and one kilometre (short door to door taxi ride) to the Nambour Train Station, Nambour Hospital and Nambour CBD (supermarket and chemist).

If you wish to go out with family and friends, there is a pick-up area located in the accessible area. Please remember to let the Sundale team know you are going out and when you will return.

Friends and family are welcome to visit at any reasonable hour. To visit after normal hours there is a call bell at the front administration building for visitors to ring.
